How to Print a Page in Notion
As of this writing, Notion does not have a native feature for printing pages. However, if you know how to export a Notion page as a PDF or an HTML, you won’t have a problem printing it.
Another way is to open your Notion workspace on the browser and use its “Print” feature.
Method 1: Export a Page in Notion as a PDF
Exporting a page in Notion as a PDF is one way to print the page you want. This method works best if you’re printing a full-page database from Notion.
1. Click the 3-dot icon.
You’ll find this in the Notion page’s upper right corner.
2. Select “Export.”
This option is between “Delete” and “Merge with CSV” on the dropdown menu.
3. Choose the “PDF” option in “Export format.”
Click the “Down” button of the “Export format” option and select the “PDF” option.
4. Select the “Export” button.
Then wait for Notion to finish preparing the page for export as a PDF to your computer.
5. Save the PDF on your computer.
Choose the PDF’s new location before clicking the “Save” button. The Notion page is then downloaded as a ZIP file.
6. Open the PDF and click “Print.”
Granting that you have extracted the ZIP file, double-click on the PDF version of the Notion page to open it in the PDF reader tool.
If you don’t have a PDF reader, the file is opened in your web browser, where you can click “Print.”The icon takes the shape of a printer.
The “Print” window then opens.
7. Select “Print.”
Click this blue button at the lower left corner after selecting the printer, the pages, and the layout for the document.
Method 2: Print a Page in Notion Directly from a Web Browser
This method is best for you if you’re accessing your Notion workspace from a browser. There are two ways how to print a page in Notion on a web browser.
a) Exporting Notion Page as HTML File
This method of printing a Notion page works similarly to exporting it as a PDF. Instead of clicking “PDF” in the “Export format” option, select “HTML” instead.
Then proceed with saving the HTML file on your computer. Then double-click on its file icon to open it in the browser.
You can then click the 3-dot icon and select “Print” on the dropdown menu or use the “Ctrl/Cmd + P” keyboard shortcut to print the Notion page.
b) Opening Notion for Web
In this method, you’ll open your Notion workspace on the web browser. No need to export the page before printing as you can use the browser’s “Print” feature.
The only catch is that it has poorer print quality than exporting the Notion page first as a document (PDF or HTML). Plus, some parts of the Notion page are cut.
If these two pitfalls don’t bother you, then proceed with these steps:
1. Open your Notion workspace on your browser.
To do this, log in to your Notion account through the Notion for Web site.
2. Select the 3-dot icon.
This icon’s found on the address bar after your Google “Profile” icon. A dropdown menu then appears.
3. Click “Print.”
This option is between the “Zoom” and “Cast” options. You can also press “Ctrl/Cmd + P” to skip this step.
4. Select the “Print” button.
Make sure you can see the printer’s name in the “Destination” section. Then select the pages you’ll print and their layout before clicking the blue “Print” button.
Conclusion
Printing a page in Notion is not the same as other word-processing tools. Though Notion still doesn’t have a native “Print” button, you can print a page with any of the methods above.
If you prefer better print quality, download the Notion page as a PDF or HTML file before printing. Otherwise, you can open your Notion workspace on a web browser and use its native “Print” feature.
