Add Pinterest Board in Notion
Here are the two ways to add your favorite Pinterest boards (and images) in Notion.
Copying and Pasting of Pinterest Board URL in Notion
1. Open a Notion page or workspace and add an embed block.
One way to add an embed block in Notion is to click the “+” button and choose “Embed” under the “Embeds” section.
The second way is to type the “/embed” command on a blank space and select the “Embed” option on the menu.
2. Copy the Pinterest board’s URL.
Simply highlight the URL on the address bar and press “Ctrl/Cmd + C” to copy it.
3. Go back to Notion and paste the Pinterest board URL on the embed block.
Regardless of how you added the embed block, paste the URL in the empty rectangle. Then click the blue “Embed link” button.
Then wait for the Pinterest board (appears like a mood board) to appear on your Notion page or workspace.
4. Resize and reposition the Pinterest board.
Click and drag the corner handles of the newly-embedded Pinterest board to make it smaller or larger.
Then move it to another area by clicking the 6-dot handle beside the “+” button.
Directly Pasting the Pinterest Board URL in Notion
This method is best for those who don’t want to open an embed block in Notion to add widgets like a countdown timer.
Open the Pinterest board you’ll embed in Notion. Then highlight the board’s URL and copy it.
Then go back to Notion and directly paste the URL on a blank space on the page or workspace you opened. This then opens a dropdown menu on its lower right.
From the three choices that appear, select “Create embed.” The Pinterest board should now appear on the Notion page. Resize and reposition the Pinterest board to integrate it.
Bonus Method: Adding Pinterest Image from Apption
This method works best if you want to embed an image instead of a whole board from Pinterest to Notion. Unlike embedding Pinterest boards, you need to get that image’s embed code before adding it to Notion.
1. Log into your Apption account and select the “Pinterest” widget.
You’re then redirected to the Pinterest embed code converter page.
2. Open an image on Pinterest and click the 3-dot icon.
A menu then appears below it.
3. Select “Get Pin Embed code.”
This is the third and last option on the dropdown menu that opened.
4. Create a Notion embeddable URL in Apption.
Paste the embed code of the Pinterest image in the field for “HTML Code.” You can even give the embed a name by typing one in the “Name” field.
Then click the “Up-Down” button in “Background Color” to select “Light” or “Dark.”
5. Click “Generate URL”
Wait a few seconds for the website to convert the HTML code (the iframe) into an embeddable link in Notion.
6. Click the “Copy” button.
This appears as a clipboard with a left-pointing arrow. Selecting this automatically copies the embed link.
7. Paste the URL in Notion.
Click the “+” button or type the “/embed” command to open an embed block. Paste the embed link and select “Embed link” to add the Pinterest image successfully.
Another way is to directly paste the embed link to a blank space on the Notion page. Then choose the “Create embed” option and wait for the Pinterest image to appear on the page.
Then resize and reposition the image to where you want it in your workspace.
Embedding Pinterest boards in Notion seamlessly brings Pinterest’s visual inspiration and Notion’s organized workspace together. With a few clicks, your Notion page becomes engaging and vibrant.
Unleash your creative side and make your workspace a source of inspiration by following the methods above.
