If you have tried exploring how to delete a teamspace or workspace in Notion, you won’t have a hard time deleting your Notion account itself. After all, the steps are almost similar.

The only difference is that you’ll delete everything you created within the tool.

So to delete your Notion account, follow these steps:

1. Click “Settings & Members” on the left-side panel

You’ll find this option between “Updates” and “New Page.” 

The “Account” center peek window then appears on the screen.

2. Select “My Account.”

This is the first option you’ll see after the account name and email. Clicking this opens the “My Profile” page.

3. Click “Delete My Account.”

Previously known as the “Danger Zone,” this is the last option you’ll see on the “My Profile” page found under “Support.”

A pop-out window then appears.

4. Type the email used for your Notion account for confirmation.

But before you continue typing your email, read the warning message above it first. It tells you that once you continue clicking the “Delete” button, that action can’t be undone. 

This permanently deletes the account, including all the workspaces and pages you added. Plus, if you’re working on a shared workspace, you’re removed from all of them.

Since you want to delete your Notion account, then type your email in the field provided.

5. Click “Permanently delete account and 1 workspace.”

This is the red button you’ll see under the “Email” field. Once this button is clicked, there’s no going back.

Then wait for a few seconds for Notion to process your request. You’re then redirected back to the “Account Creation” page of Notion.

If you’re still hesitant to permanently delete your account, select the “Cancel” button instead.

If you don’t have access to a desktop though, you can still delete your Notion account. The same process is applicable, except that the buttons you’ll select are different.

To delete your Notion Account in the mobile app, do the following:

1. Press the 3-dot icon.

This is the ellipsis icon found on the upper-right corner of the “Home” page of the Notion mobile app.

A dropdown menu then appears.

2. Tap “Settings.”

This is the topmost option on the dropdown menu with a “gear” icon on its right side. You’re then redirected to the “Notifications & Settings” page.

3. Swipe up and tap “Delete my Account.”

You’ll see this button under the “My Settings” section after the “Start week on Monday” toggle. A pop-out window then appears on the page.

4. Type your email for confirmation.

Again, you’ll see a warning message that tapping “Delete” will permanently remove not only your account but all the pages and workspaces you’re a part of.

If you’ve decided, type your email in the field provided.

5. Press the “Delete account & workspace” button.

Then wait for Notion to process your request. After a few seconds, your Notion account is deleted, and you’re redirected to the “Login” page of Notion.

But if you accidentally tapped the “Delete account & workspace” button, press “Cancel” instead.
