How to Delete Top-Level Page Discussions in Notion
Top-level page discussions are those comments that you find at the very top of the Notion page you’re working on. It’s like a separate chat block where all recent discussions can be seen.
To delete to-level page comments in Notion, these are the steps you’ll follow.
1. Select the “More Actions” button.
You’ll find this in the upper right corner of that particular comment when you hover the cursor on that area.
A dropdown menu then opens.
2. Click “Delete Comment.”
This is the third and last option on the “More Actions” dropdown menu. You’ll also find a trash can icon on its right side.
A pop-out confirmation window then appears.
3. Select “Delete.”
This confirms your decision to delete that comment from the Notion page. After clicking this button, the comment you selected will be removed from the top-level page discussions section.
If you accidentally clicked “Delete” earlier, you can click the “Cancel” button instead.
How to Delete Page Comments in Notion
Page comments, on the other hand, are those comments you made on any of the blocks found within the Notion workspace.
Depending on how you customize how the page comments appear, you can either see a “Chat” icon or the comment window itself.
Regardless, the steps to deleting page comments are the same.
1. Select the comment you want to delete.
If the page comment was formatted as “Minimal,” only a “Chat” icon beside the yellow-highlighted text or block can be seen. Click this icon to expand it.
Skip this step if the page comments were formatted as an “Expanded” view.
2. Click the 3-dot icon.
You’ll find this in the top right corner of the page comment window. A dropdown menu then opens.
3. Select “Delete Comment.”
This is the last option you’ll see on the dropdown menu after “Copy link to discussion.”
A pop-out confirmation window then appears similarly when you delete top-level page discussions.
4. Click the “Delete” button.
This confirms your decision to delete that comment from the Notion page. Otherwise, you can select “Cancel” if clicking “Delete Comment” was just an accident.
Once done, you should now see the “Chat” icon or the “Comments” window disappear from the Notion page.
